This morning, our Year 3 class led our school community in a reverent and joyful celebration of the Ascension of the Lord Mass, held in the church and led by Fr Geoff. The students did an outstanding job with their readings, singing and participation – showing confidence and respect throughout.
Following the Mass, I challenged all students to carry the message of the Ascension with them by showing kindness, love and compassion to someone today. It was a beautiful reminder of how we can live out our faith in small but meaningful ways each day. Well done to Year 3 and thank you to everyone who joined us for this special celebration!

ast Friday, the P&F hosted a truly special evening at The Heart – Women Rising, an event designed to inspire, empower and connect women through the strength of community.
More than 100 women from our school and local area – including mums, grandmothers, aunties and friends – came together to share in an uplifting night of storytelling, wisdom and solidarity.

This afternoon, our students from Year 1 to 5 formed groups to participate in the Peer Support Program, a wonderful initiative that fosters connection, wellbeing and leadership across our school. Our Year 6 students did an outstanding job leading their groups, helping younger students begin to build meaningful relationships while learning about the importance of positive thinking and developing resilience. I was fortunate to be working with a Peer Support group today and witnessed the positive and mature way the leaders interacted with their groups and provide such a thoughtful and responsible support to these students.
The Peer Support Program is a valuable part of our school culture. It not only strengthens relationships across year levels but also empowers our senior students and provides all children with lifelong social and emotional learning skills. Peer Support sessions will continue to run fortnightly after lunch on Thursdays.

The Kindy students treated their mothers and grandmothers to a lovely Morning Tea yesterday morning. The Kindy students performed two songs and handed out their cards and cupcakes that were made. What a lovely way to start the morning! I think the mums and grandmas were very spoilt having their nails painted and crowns made for them to wear.
I do wish all mothers, grandmothers and significant women in the lives of our children a wonderful day on Sunday – I hope your children spoil you and you get time to yourselves, special treats and not have to do any chores! Thank you for all that you do!
This Friday, the Year 1 class will be presenting a Mother’s Day assembly to celebrate all mothers in our community. We invite all mothers to come along.

Welcome back to Term 2! I hope you all had a restful break filled with special moments, beautiful weather and time to recharge. I also hope your family enjoyed a meaningful Easter and had the chance to spend time together reflecting on its significance. It was wonderful to see the children return to school on Tuesday with big smiles and plenty of stories to share. We welcome a new family to our school – the Sunderland family (Ada in Year 2 and Arlo and Nell in Pre-Primary). I am sure our Tommy More community will make them feel very welcome.
