Principal’s Welcome

Welcome to St Thomas More Catholic Primary School.

We are a welcoming school, with strong ties to the larger Margaret River community.

Our single stream, co-educational school was established in 1993 catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. We are an inclusive school with a warm, friendly community.

Each child is at the centre of the education we provide, with small classes allowing our passionate and dedicated teaching staff to tailor learning experiences in a Catholic faith- centred environment to meet individual needs.

Emphasis is placed on allowing children to learn through quality instruction, collaboration and a focus on 21st Century practices incorporating creativity and higher-order thinking skills. We work closely with our families to ensure the whole child is being developed – spiritually, academically, physically, socially and emotionally.

In a future-focused environment, we offer a range of specialist learning opportunities incorporating Music and the Performing Arts, Visual Arts, Physical Education and Indonesian. A 1:1 iPad program from Year 3 to Year 6 allows a diverse range of learning to take place. Literacy and Numeracy are priority curriculum areas and our Support programs cater for children with a range of needs, incorporating MacqLit, Letters and Sounds and our Learning Enrichment Academic Program (LEAP).

With a contemporary learning environment, our students are able to utilize a variety of spaces to suit their learning, including a large oval, undercover areas, a nature playground, vegetable garden and chicken coup. An onsite Before and After school care and Vacation care service is also available.

Our dedicated staff are excited to welcome families to our school and work with a common purpose – to provide each child with the best possible educational outcomes.
